The Lost Chapter: The Strategy Sentinel

The 6th Agent That Protects Your Empire

In AI Into Money, Time & Freedom, we built five agents to handle execution: Sales, Marketing, Operations, Admin, and Finance. These agents do the work.

But there is one final role that the “Director” (you) needs to fill. It is the role of the Advisor.

As entrepreneurs, our biggest risk isn’t laziness; it’s blindness. We fall in love with our own ideas. We ignore data that contradicts our hopes. We fail to see the competitor sneaking up on our left flank.

Enter The Strategy Sentinel.

This is not an agent that does work. It is an agent that thinks. It is designed to act as your devil’s advocate, your war-gaming partner, and your board of advisors.

Here is how to build and deploy it.

Function 1: The “War Game” Simulation

Most businesses fail because they assume the market will stay static. It won’t. Competitors are watching you. The Sentinel’s first job is to destroy you—virtually—so you can survive in reality.

The “Red Team” Prompt: Use this prompt once a quarter. It forces the AI to roleplay a ruthless competitor entering your market.

Role: You are the CEO of a VC-backed startup called “Kill[MyCompanyName].” You have $5M in funding and one goal: steal my customers and put me out of business within 12 months.

Context: Here is my business model, my offer, and my current pricing: [PASTE YOUR BUSINESS DETAILS].

Task:

  1. Identify my single biggest weakness that I am likely ignoring.

  2. Outline a 3-step “Attack Plan” you would use to exploit that weakness and steal my market share.

  3. Write the exact marketing hook you would use to convince my best clients to switch to you.

Constraint: Be ruthless. Do not be polite. Use Sun Tzu principles.

Why this works: It hurts to read the output. But that pain reveals your blind spots immediately. If the AI can spot your weakness in 10 seconds, a real competitor will spot it in 10 weeks.

Function 2: The Pre-Mortem Protocol

Before you launch a new offer, hire a key employee, or pivot your strategy, run a “Pre-Mortem.” This is a stoic exercise: assume the project has already failed, and work backward to find out why.

The Pre-Mortem Prompt:

Context: I am about to [LAUNCH PROJECT X].

Scenario: Fast forward 6 months. The project was a total disaster. It cost me money, damaged my reputation, and failed to bring in revenue.

Task: Based on what you know about my business and the general failure rates of [INDUSTRY], tell me the “Autopsy Report.”

  1. What was the likely cause of death? (Not the obvious one, the subtle one).

  2. What early warning signal did I ignore in Month 1?

  3. What is the one “Safety Valve” I should have installed to prevent this catastrophe?

The Value: This moves you from “optimism” to “risk management.” It saves you from expensive mistakes before you spend a dollar.

Function 3: The Virtual Council of Giants

You may not be able to afford a $50k/month board of advisors. But the Sentinel can simulate them. This prompt allows you to view a problem through specific, high-leverage mental models.

The Boardroom Prompt:

Context: I am facing a dilemma: [DESCRIBE DECISION].

Task: Act as my Board of Advisors. I want you to critique this decision from three specific perspectives. Stay in character for each.

1. The Product Visionary (Steve Jobs style): Critique the user experience and the “soul” of the decision. Are we compromising quality for money? 2. The Systems Thinker (Elon Musk style): Critique the efficiency. Can we delete a part? Can we automate this? Is this first-principles thinking or just copying others? 3. The Investor (Warren Buffett style): Critique the long-term compounding. Is this a durable moat? Or a short-term trick?

Output: Provide a 1-paragraph verdict from each advisor, then a final “Consensus Recommendation.”

How to Build The Sentinel (Technical Setup)

Unlike the other agents which live in Make.com or Zapier, the Strategy Sentinel lives in your Model Context.

The Setup:

  1. Use ChatGPT (Plus) or Claude (Pro). You need the large context window.

  2. Create a “Project” or “Custom GPT”. Name it “Strategy Sentinel”.

  3. Upload your “Brain”. Upload PDFs of:

    • Your last 3 monthly financial reports.

    • Your brand voice guidelines.

    • Your current offer stack and pricing.

    • Your ideal customer profile (ICP).

  4. System Instructions: Paste the following into the custom instructions:

“You are the Strategy Sentinel. Your goal is NOT to please me. Your goal is to protect the long-term value of the business. Always prioritize truth over politeness. When I ask for advice, always check against my uploaded financial constraints and ICP before answering. If I propose an idea that conflicts with my stated goal of [YOUR GOAL, e.g., Freedom/Profit], you must flag it immediately.”

Final Words

The Closer brings the money. The Workflow brings the time. The Sentinel brings the longevity.

Use this agent when you feel emotional, excited, or panicked. It is your cold, rational insurance policy against bad decisions.

Go build your empire.
